Linkin Park have come up with another album, this one being called ‘Songs from the Underground’. This EP (Click for details on EPs) consists of 8 songs, listed below:
1. Announcement Service Public
2. Qwerty (Studio Version)
3. And One
4. Sold My Soul To Yo Mama
5. Dedicated (Demo 1999)
6. Hunger Strike (Live from Projekt Revolution 2008)
7. My December (Live 2008)
8. Part of Me
This has now come out in countries such as Japan, Hong Kond and Thailand, but I guess the UK will have to wait – again. On the Linkin Park website, it is written that “This CD also comes with a FREE one month trial membership for LP Underground and access to a FREE download of “Crawling” (Live featuring Chris Cornell) that is available to ALL active LPU members.” This CD can be bought now in the US for just $6.99 at Best Buy Stores.
In other news, Linkin Park has announced their New Divide ringtone. This is to join some of their other productions for mobiles, a full list of which can be found here. From there, these can also be purchased.

Much to my disappointment, as I am living in the UK, New Divide will not be available on iTunes for a while where I am. Linkin Park recently released the dates on which their new song will be available on iTunes in different countries, so I will post that here.
MAY 22: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Israel, Taiwan.
MAY 26: US (all digital partners except iTunes)
JUNE 1: UK
The reason it has made an exception from iTunes in the US is because it has already been released on iTunes there.
So, it looks like we well have to wait a while until us here in the UK can get hold of this song properly, but in the meantime, there is a short extract from the song available here.

Like a great number of Linkin Park fans, I’m sure, I have just heard the afformentioned new song of Linkin Park, New Divide. My two most recent posts before this one have been about the song, which for now, can be found on the introduction page on the Linkin Park website, which can be found here. This song will play automatically when the page is loaded.
For the purpose it was meant for, I can safely say that this song fits the bill perfectly. I enjoyed the overall sound of the song, and the lyrics are extremely good.
One of the things I have noticed, as I’m sure you have, about Linkin Park as a whole is that they tend to use the title of their songs in the lyrics of their songs. I think this is very effective, as shown in New Divide. Below is the chorus of this song, and I think it demonstrates how good the lyrics are.
You pulled me closer,
And I pushed you away,
Gave me direction,
And I told you goodbye,
Across the New Divide.
I encourage you to visit the link above and listen to this song. As well as a part of it being temporarily streamed there, it is available on iTunes. I am going to buy the song from there myself, and I hope you will too.

Linkin Park has announced a name for their new song on their website. This song is called ‘New Divide’. It will be featured in on of the most anticipated movies this summer, ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’.
The song itself will have it’s radio debut on May 18th, on Radio Worldwide. It will also be on iTunes for you to download on that day. It will be the theme song and also lead single for the movie. Mike Shinoda said: “It’s one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that’s built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it.”
The soundtrack for this movie will be released on June 23rd, and the movie will be in cinemas on the 24th. The band is also contributing to the ratings of the movie. So be on the lookout for any bonus features, such as the music video. If I can find anything, I will be sure to post it here.

According to the Linkin Park website, Chester has been working on an album with members from bands Linkin Park and Julien-K. The six members of this band are: Chester Bennington, Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, Anthony Valcic, Brandon Belsky and Elias Andra.
Chester is a recent addition to the band, previously named Snow White Tan, but they changed their name to Dead by Sunrise. The name ‘Snow White Tan’ had been thought to be a reference to Ziggy Stardust, along with some of the lyrics from their songs. Chester said: “We were called Snow White Tan for a while, and then I changed the name to Dead By Sunrise, but I really just like Chester Bennington.”
It seems that Chester will stay with Linkin Park, and the album of his new side project will be released in September 2009. I will update with any more information about this.

A recent announcement on the Linkin Park website has stated that they are going to start producing some applications for the iPhone/iPod Touch. With Artificial Life they will produce two apps every year for the next three years. I, personally, do not own an iPhone or iPod Touch, but I have been looking into getting one, and am excited by the prospect of these apps.
On the website, fans have left some ideas for what some of these apps could be. The best one they have thought of, in my opinion, is a Linkin Park edition of Tap Tap Revenge. Even though I don’t own an iPhone, I have played this game, and found it quite enjoyable. It seems to me that a Linkin Park edition would be very successful.
Joe Hahn said: “We’re really excited to start working on new ways for you guys to enjoy our music and use the latest technology to enable you to connect with each other within a Linkin Park experience”. He has already helped to design the application, but we will have to be on the lookout for any more info about this.

Road to Revolution is a live album from one of Linkin Park’s recent tours. The songs used on the album were recorded at a performance in Milton Keynes. Unfortunately, I was unable to get tickets, however I recieved the album from a relative who did manage to go to a different performance of this. This post is a review of that album.
As a Linkin Park fan, it is hard to have a negative opinion on any of their songs. However, if there is one criticism I have to point out, it is Shadow of the Day. The vocals are slightly out of key on the first verse and chorus or two, and it really doesn’t sound too good. If you were to consider downloading this album, this track would be one to avoid.
Despite this, there are many good tracks. Breaking the habit, Bleed it Out, Numb-Encore and No More Sorrow have all been performed to the utmost standard. They truly are excellently played, even better so than on their original albums.
Overall, I would definately say that this album contains the best versions of most of the songs they played on this tour. Although there is room for improvement in a few songs, you should definately consider buying it. However, despite looking at the items on Amazon, it would seem that the album I got has more tracks on it, and because it was obtained from a code on the website, I can only assume that my album is an uncut version of Road to Revolution. This album, from what I have heard, it is definately their best.
I rate it 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
